Case of the Month

This 13 year-old boy had avulsed his maxillary left central incisor at age nine. It had been replanted one hour after the accident, but obviously has ankylosed and submerged. How would you treat this situation? The authors performed a segmental osteotomy and repositioned the ankylosed tooth.
