Advanced endoscopic imaging: from the top of the fold to the single bacterium A 71-year-old man underwent surveillance colonoscopy. He had had Clostridium difficile colitis, which was treated with metronidazole 2 weeks before the current examination. The patient was free of symptoms, and stool samples were negative for C difficile toxin at the time of endoscopy.
