The Western Pacific Region is the largest of the IDF Regions in terms of population and is the most diverse economically, politically and culturally. At present the WPR includes 16 national member associations from East Asia, the South East Asian Peninsular and Oceania which represents a substantial proportion of the Region's population. Steps are being taken to expand the membership and to bring in member associations from those parts of the Region which are less well represented - particularly from the South East Asian Peninsular and Oceania.
