The International Society of Chemotherapy (ISC) for Infection and Cancer, established in 1961, is a non-profit organization and is a registered charity in the UK. The general objective of the Society is to advance the education and science of chemotherapy. International congresses and conferences promoting the development of chemotherapy are held regularly. The ISC encourages, supports and sponsors the formation of international working groups for special research projects, commissions, training projects and the use of chemotherapeutics in the field of antimicrobial and antineoplastic chemotherapy. It also helps to co-ordinate the activities of these working groups.

The ISC has a worldwide membership composed of national and regional societies, of which there are currently 66. The Member Societies hold their own congresses that are supported by the ISC.
